Quantitative Risk assessment (QRA)

According to Vietnam legislation, Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) is compulsory in safety management of oil and gas, petroleum, chemical, thermal power industries and etc. Organizations conducting oil & gas activities shall prepare and submit QRA reports to Petro Vietnam and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (or Province Department of Industry and Trade) for review and approval.

• Collect and review data, information and documents
• Prepare risk assessment report
  • Qualitative risk assessment: Perpare (or Update) HAZID Worksheet indicator & BOWTIE Workshop
  • Quantitative risk assessment: includes following steps:
    • Development of Rule Sets and Assumption Register
    • Hazard Identification
    • Major Accidents/Incidents (Scenarios Development)
    • Frequency Estimation
    • Consequence Modeling
    • Fatality Estimation
    • Risk Summation and Ranking
    • Risk Assessment
• Submit the draft risk assessment report to client
• Process MOIT’s (or DOIT’s) approval
• Translate approved risk assessment report into English (if required)
