By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- Understand the core components of an Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
- Clearly define individual roles and responsibilities during emergencies.
- Respond confidently and effectively under high-pressure situations.
- Apply lessons learned from past incidents and near misses.
- Familiarize with emergency equipment and communication systems.
- Coordinate effectively with the Crisis Management Team (CMT), Site Response Team (SRT), and external emergency agencies.
- Make timely, check Timeout and appropriate decisions during emergency response and escalation.
- Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork throughout emergency response operations.
- Participate effectively in emergency drills and post-exercise debriefings to drive continual improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant HSE regulations and Oil & Gas standards.
The training will includes theory and desktop exercise.
Theory session:
- Emergency management principles and philosophy.
- Classification and escalation of emergencies.
- Emergency notification, declaration, and reporting protocols.
- Internal and external communications strategy.
- EMT roles, responsibilities, and response coordination.
- Roles and responsibilities of the Drilling Team during drilling-related emergencies.
- Coordination and communication between the Drilling Team and EMT during emergency response.
- Guidelines and procedures for various emergency scenarios.
The content will reflect best practices and be tailored to offshore oil and gas operations.
Desktop exercise session:
- Coordinate and facilitate a desktop emergency exercise, including EMT members and role-playing participants
- The exercise will include drilling-related scenarios to test the coordination, communication, and response interface between the Drilling Team and EMT.
- Lead Instructor will conduct a pre-exercise briefing for all participants.
- The scenario-based exercise will run for approximately 2 hours, followed by an immediate “hot debrief” and a conference call with key stakeholders to capture lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.

- Emergency Management Team (EMT) members.
- Personnel involved in emergency planning, response, and coordination.
